Current Issues Facing Orcas

Orcas, also known as killer whales, are highly intelligent and social creatures. They are currently threatened by pollution, overfishing, and habitat destruction, which have led to declining populations in many parts of the world.

Captivity is another critical concern. Facilities like SeaWorld have been criticized for mistreatment of orcas, including small tanks, forced performances, and social isolation. These conditions cause physical and psychological stress in these magnificent animals.
